indisputably inconclusive

Non-factional opinion, fiction, poetry and occasional humour

Evening

sun crest green billows
under chalk smears on pastel
light cedes to shadow

Gorse

this littering wind
sand beneath wasp yellow gorse
the road to the sea

End

a tarnished heaven
day burnished gold dissolving
the edge of the world

Awake

I lie with strangers
in dormitory soundscapes
dreams keep me awake

Despair

love now is weeping
her sky despair dull pewter
where once was heaven

Calm

beyond contrivance
anxiety but ripples
life an ocean more

Lavender’s Blue

warm this perfumed night
and troth my queen contentment
in lavender lies

Copper

her fluttered copper
the umber loam which dresses
tarnished silver roots

Grief

this desolation
as broken memories sing
love a cappella
